Will Young will play Newcastle City Hall later this year.

The singer, who has forged a platinum-plated career since becoming the UK's first Pop Idol winner in 2001, has booked a date with the venue on November 19.

The prolific star, who has notched up four platinum albums, a raft of sell-out tours and a burgeoning acting career to boot, will perform selections from his ever-increasing back catalogue as well as promising some surprises on the way too.
