Four barred

FOUR Labour MPs caught up in the expenses scandal were last night barred from standing for the party at the next general election.

But David Chaytor, Ian Gibson, Margaret Moran and Elliot Morley have not been expelled from the party or had the whip removed. A Labour Party spokesman said new prospective parliamentary candidates will be selected "to join Labour’s hardworking councillors in Bury, Norwich, Scunthorpe and Luton".
