Berwick wind turbine plan either a blunder or hazard

Mr Maud believes the turbine which appears to be in his house should in fact be much further back in the montage, behind a row of hedge, as it would be 1.5 kilometres from the property.

He thinks the turbine location is around 900 metres out.

MAG raised the mistakes in the photomontage with Your Energy’s legal team on May 17 but has yet to receive a response. It has now informed Ruth McKenzie, the planning inspector who is hearing the inquiry on behalf of communities secretary Hazel Blears, who will determine the appeal.

Mr Maud, who has another son Christopher, 9, and a daughter Isobel, 5, said: “I am more bemused than angry at this stage.

“Quite clearly it is wrong. Quite clearly they have not followed correct methodology.

“It is very badly done work again. It is what we have put up with for all these years.”
