Formed in 1976, The Damned made their name as one of the first British punk bands to tour the United States following the release of single New Rose and album Damned Damned Damned.
The band have disbanded and reformed many times over the years, but have always featured frontman David Vanian.
Their latest album So, Who’s Paranoid? is their first since 2001’s critically-acclaimed Grave Disorder.
The modern-day line-up of The Alarm (founder member Mike Peters, James Stevenson (Gen X), Craig Adams (Sisters Of Mercy /The Mission) and Steve Grantley (Stiff Little Fingers) have recorded a trio of albums – Guerilla Tactics being the latest.
The release is a follow-up to the band’s emotive 2006 offering Under Attack which underpinned lead singer Peters’ battle and victory over leukaemia.
Henry Cluney was in all incarnations of Stiff Little Fingers until 1993 when he went on to establish himself as a rock DJ in Belfast.
He has continued to play and record music since moving to the United States in 1997.
