Northumberland County Show aim for world record

PEOPLE going to next week’s Northumberland County Show could leave as world record breakers.
North Northumberland Dog Training Club is hoping to get 1,000 people to enter the showring so it can break the record for the most number of legs run through by a dog.
The club’s founder and chairman Jacquie Hall set the record five years ago when she trained six dogs to run through 222 pairs of legs.
But the record was quickly broken and Jacquie had hoped to claim it back at last year’s Alnwick Tournament with an attempt at 550 legs.
But just days before the event a team in South Africa managed 937 legs and the record attempt was scuppered.
