So impressed
INPRESS, an organisation which provides sales and marketing support to independent publishers, has moved to the North East from London.
It follows the appointment of Rachael Ogden – one-time literature specialist at Arts Council England, North East – as managing director.
The Arts Council-funded organisation was set up in 2002.
Ms Ogden said: “Although we are a UK-wide organisation, we are delighted to call the North East our home and to be making our contribution to the regional economy.”
Inpress chairman Ross Bradshaw said: “The North East is a good place to be with member publishers Iron Press and Flambard close by and Smokestack a short journey away. There are many other small presses, a lively writing scene, live venues and the national magazine for women writers, Mslexia.”
