Tell us what you think is great about North East

WE’VE given the world Newcastle Brown Ale, Fentiman’s Lemonade, and Philleas Fogg crisps and we’ve adopted Nissan as our own.

When it comes to brands there is no shortage of products to pick from with their roots in the North East.

From cottage industries like Doddington Dairy Ice-cream, to manufacturers on an international scale like Berghaus there is plenty to be proud of.

That’s why The Journal is appealing to readers to tell us their favourite North East trade-marks. Each day this week we’re asking for your input on what makes this region great. It’s part of our campaign to help the region’s economy by encouraging cooperation, promoting local products and maintaining the passion and pride for which we’re famous.

Whatever it is the North East exports which makes you proud to be from the region we want to hear about it. Tell us by logging on to Journallive.co.uk, or email us with your nomination.
