Man hunted over Ashington street attack on schoolgirl

THE description of a man police wish to interview in connection with the alleged rape of 14-year-old girl, was released last night.
The attack on the schoolgirl is said to have taken place last Saturday between 8.30pm and 9.15pm.
The teenager told police she was targeted while she walked on Myrtle Street, in Ashington, Northumberland.
And now she has been able to provide officers with a description of her assailant.
He’s described as being around 23-years- old, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall, white with tanned skin, with close shaved brown hair and blue eyes.
He was wearing light blue jeans, brown shoes and a turquoise long-sleeved top.
Following the attack, he was seen walking away from the area and getting into a small silver or blue car on Alexandra Road.
