BABOONS and gorillas will soon be spotted high up in the Northumberland treetops.
But the primates in question will in fact be people trying out a brand new adventure course that is being set up.
The award-winning Go Ape High Wire Forest Adventure is set to open at Matfen Hall Hotel, offering people the chance to get in touch with their simian side.
The course is split into five separate sections, with each made up of obstacles such as ladders, walkways, bridges and tunnels that are made of wood, rope and super-strong wire. Each section begins with a rope ladder climb into the treetops and ends with an adrenalin pumping zip back down to the ground.
David Hunter, director and general manager of Matfen Hall said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Go Ape to offer this exciting new service to guests.
