Foxhunters pub workers held at gunpoint in raid

One resident, who asked not to be named, said: “I didn’t near anything. I am gobsmacked, it’s quite alarming.”

Another resident added: “It’s a bit close to home. You hear about these things happening elsewhere, but you don’t expect it on your own doorstep.”

The two offenders had a large build, one of them had a local accent. The man with the gun was around 6ft 1in tall, and wore a black jacket, black trousers, black ski mask and black gloves.

The second man was smaller but more heavily built. He was dressed all in black, but his face covering was black and red. He had brown eyes.

Det Chief Insp Mick Paterson said: “We are asking for help from the public in finding the men responsible for this robbery. If anyone has any information then please call the police straight away.”
