Nordic wardrobe inspiration in Newcastle fasion show

A FASHION show featuring designs from the northern hemisphere took over Newcastle’s Globe City Gallery last night.

Skirt boutique, of High Bridge, Newcastle, provided the fashions for the latest gathering in the Design 08 calendar.

For the past couple of weeks or so, the annual design festival has offered exhibitions, walking tours, workshops, talks and a design day out throughout Tyneside.

Last night it was the turn of the fashionistas and a sell-out crowd was present, correct and hoping for some Nordic wardrobe inspiration.

Claire Western, who opened Skirt in the summer of 2004, chose designs from the likes of Dansk, L&W, Vagabond and Ivana Helsinki to hit the catwalk.
