MORE than 20,000 people will descend on Corbridge today for the Northumberland show.
The show gets underway at Tynedale Park with a wide range of agricultural animals on show, alongside a host of other entertainment.
The equestrian section is bound to popular, with a number of competitive teams taking part in the event.
Driving teams, coming from as far as York and Aberdeen, will show the manoeuvrability and skills of the heavy horse, particularly the Clydesdale breed, which is now considered to be an endangered species.
There will also be dramatic action with horse stuntmen and motorbike dare devils performing for the crowds.
The event, supported by The Journal, will finish with the traditional RAF Spitfire fly past, which will be followed by the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team, who will land in the arena.
Tynedale Council will also have a display, together with the Energy Saving Trust, showcasing the latest eco friendly technology available.
Station Road will be closed to traffic during the day, and visitors are advised to follow signposts to the free car parks.
Network Rail is also running a special show timetable, with extra stops at Corbridge Station throughout the day.
Tickets are available for cash on the day, priced at £10 for adults, £6 OAPs, £2.50 children and £25 for a family ticket.
