The marriage of Jahn Douglas & Jahn Douglas

When it teacher Jahn Douglas filled in at the maths department, she never expected romance to be in the calculation.

But that's where everything added up for Jahn, 36, and fellow teacher Jahn Douglas, 28, who both teach at Lord Lawson of Beamish Comprehensive, County Durham.

Romance began two years ago when Jahn was asked to cover in the maths department.

She said: "Maths is not my strong point. Steve teaches maths and he was very helpful."

After a year together, Steve proposed and the couple were married on October 22 at Beamish Hall.

Four pupils from the school were among the 86 guests at the ceremony.

And Steve's tutor group made table decorations for the reception.

He said: "The kids at school talked about the wedding so much, it seemed like they knew more about it than we did!"

The couple honeymooned in Port Meirion, Wales, and returned to their newly-built home in Beadnell Drive, Seaham, County Durham.
