Nicole Richie, star of The Simple Life, was arrested yesterday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, authorities said. California Highway Patrol officers took the 25-year-old daughter of pop singer Lionel Richie into custody after she failed an on-the-spot test in Burbank, near Los Angeles.
