Fitness fans in Blyth Valley can exercise their computer skills to book sessions at leisure centres.

The new online booking service is available on a website, www.bval.co.uk, which also gives information on activities provided by Blyth Valley Arts and Leisure.

Life blazes trail

STAFF at Wansbeck Council are taking to the road to tell people how the Life - Local Initiative for Everyone - regeneration is coming to their communities.

A display van is touring the district to explain how work in Newbiggin and East Ashington to invest in the environment and homes will go into other areas.

Abbey concert

A CANDLELIT Christmas concert will be held at Hexham Abbey on December 18.

The English Philharmonic Ensemble will perform Christmas carols and music ranging from Vivaldi to Haydn at 8pm.

Tickets are £16 for adults and £10 for children under 15 and there will be mulled wine and mince pies available in the interval.

Stand and deliver

OVINGHAM Drama Group is presenting the pantomime Dick Turpin in the village reading room next week. Tickets are £5 adults and £3 children.

A POPULAR homegrown R'n'B band will perform in Hexham tomorrow. (SAT)
