Call for council tax cut

A soldier's wife wants her council tax reduced because her husband is serving in Afghanistan, it emerged. Karen Riddy said husband Kieron spends six months at a time serving abroad, but she has to pay the full tax. She felt she should be allowed a reduction in her monthly bill on their Torquay home.
