MP's dog kills polecat at show

An mp apologised after his Jack Russell dog killed a polecat in front of visitors at a county show.

Andrew Turner, the Conservative MP for the Isle of Wight, was attending the island's annual show when his terrier Bert spotted a polecat being exercised on a harness. The dog attacked it and despite efforts to get the dog to release the animal, it only let go when cold water was thrown over it.
