Win tickets to a performance of The Avison Ensemble and the Chapel Royal Choir

CULTURE Club members can win one of two pairs of tickets to attend a concert as The Avison Ensemble and the Chapel Royal Choir perform at St Mary’s Cathedral, Newcastle, on Thursday, July 9.

The concert forms part of the Avison Tercentenary Celebrations.

James Bowman and Dr Andrew Gant and other members of the Chapel Royal Choir – accompanied by The Avison Ensemble – will perform anthems written for the choir by Handel and Purcell.

As well as celebrating 300 years since Avison’s birth in 1709, this year also marks the 250th anniversary of the death of Handel, in 1759, and the 350th anniversary of the birth of Purcell, in 1659.

So, this concert is a triple celebration of three composers.

Tickets are £12 from JG Windows Ltd in Central Arcade, Newcastle. Email: info@ jgwindows.com or call (0191) 232-1356.
