Doug Henderson MP expenses
DOUG HENDERSON alerted expenses scrutineers when he claimed for household items from John Lewis.
The Newcastle North MP had a claim for purchases from the department store totaling £731 questioned.
In total Mr Henderson spent £2,126 at John Lewis in March this year on items including a chest of drawers, kettle, iron, toaster, food mixer, vacuum cleaner bags, placemats, saucepans and bed linen.
Mr Henderson, who is retiring at the next election, also claimed a total of £458 which was paid to his gardener between April and December 2008, and for £504 which was paid to his cleaner.
