BLAYDON MP DAVE ANDERSON claimed £1,174 for parts for his boiler and shower in March, plus a further £1,500 to replace the boiler and shower and flush out the system.

And from his expenses receipts, the Labour MP appears to be a fan of decorating, claiming £202 for materials in April 2008, then £18.50 for paint and £38.50 for decorating materials, including masking tape and a paint roller, in October 2008.

Mr Anderson also submitted claims for a kettle costing £19.99 in June 2008, as well as £12.69 for “electrical parts” and £36.20 for duplicate keys in October 2008.
