DID you miss out on a place in this year’s Bupa Great North Run?
The Journal is offering readers the final chance to take part and there’s still time to apply.
For the fifth year in a row we have exclusive access to the last 100 spots in the famous half-marathon.
And as well as getting one of the coveted places, one of our 100 runners will receive a golden ticket entitling them to two VIP hospitality passes to be enjoyed on the day.
David Hart, communications director at Nova International, said: “We think it’s fitting that the last 100 places for the Bupa Great North Run will go to readers of The Journal.
“The relationship between The Journal and the Great North Run is now into its fourth decade and has been further strengthened this week by the launch of the Great North Fitness Revolution.”
For runners gearing up for the 13.1-mile race, the Bupa Great North 10k takes place in Gateshead on July 17.
Held just nine weeks before the Great North Run, the 10k is the perfect training event and a good goal to work towards throughout the summer as part of the Great North Fitness Revolution.
Entries for the Great North 10k Gateshead are open at www.greatrun.org/north10k.
To apply for one of our last 100 places, visit www.journallive.co.uk/greatnorthrunplaces and tell us, in fewer than 200 words, why you want to join our fitness revolution and take part in the race.
Those who win a place will be notified by email after the competition closes on June 30. A registration fee of £50 will then be payable by those who are successful.
Runners must be 17 or over on the day of the race. Get your place in the Great North Run at www.journallive.co.uk/greatnorthrunplaces
