Journal corrections 27 January

AT The Journal, we pride ourselves in journalism that is honest, accurate and fair.

Our journalists adhere to the Editors Code of Practice, which sets the benchmark for high professional standards and is enforced by the Press Complaints Commission. If we do slip up, we promise to put things right on this page in a clear, no-nonsense manner.

The headline on a report of a court case on page 5 on Wednesday wrongly referred to ‘paramedics’ when it should have said ‘medics’.

To ask for an inaccuracy to be corrected, all you have to do is phone (0191) 201 6352, email andrew.hebden@ncjmedia.co.uk or write to The Editor, The Journal, Groat Market, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 1ED.

The Press Complaints Commission (PCC) is the independent body which governs the newspaper industry. The Code of Practice and details of how to lodge a complaint are available from Halton House, 20/23 High Holborn, EC1N 2JD. Website www.pcc.org.uk or email complaints@pcc.org.uk. Telephone 020 7831 0022. Helpline: 0845 600 2757.
