A SUSPECTED glass attack outside a Northumberland social club has left a man seriously injured.
The victim was was punched and possibly glassed during an assault at the Bank House Social Club on Front Street in Newbiggin, at around 11.30pm, on Sunday.
The 42-year-old man, was taken to Wansbeck District General Hospital and then to the Royal Victoria Infirmary for treatment to a serious facial injury.
Police are also probing an assault at a pub in Morpeth.
The incident happened at around 11:15pm on Saturday at The Shambles in Bridge Street.
A 37-year-old man was taken to the Royal Victoria Infirmary where it was established he had a broken jaw.
Police are keen to trace and speak to two men in connection with this assault.
The first is described as being around 5ft 7ins, in his early 30s and had short dark hair and designer type facial hair. He was of stocky build and was wearing a grey long sleeved jumper.
The second is around 5ft 9ins to 6ft tall, in his early 30s and with short sandy coloured hair. He was of very muscular build, was wearing a very tight white long sleeved t-shirt and had a looped earring in his left ear.
