A MAN is today in hospital with head injuries after he was attacked outside a pub in North Shields.
The incident happened during the early hours of this morning neat The New Dolphin, on the Fish Quay.
The 48-year-old victim was taken to hospital with head injuries at just after 12.30am.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
Witnesses should call Northumbria Police on 101.
