A MAN was threatened with a knife by a masked man who broke into his home on New Year's Eve.
A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary after the incident at White Mere Gardens in Gateshead's Wardley at around 11.14pm last night.
It is not thought anything was taken and inquiries are ongoing.
