A WOMAN was tied-up when raiders stormed her home.
The terrifying aggravated burglary happened at a house on Furzefield Road, in Gosforth, Newcastle at 8pm last night.
Three men entered the house and tied-up the woman, who is in her 60s, before stealing cash and jewellery.
She suffered minor bruising in the incident and was left shaken.
Det Insp Steve Wouldhave, of Northumbria Police said: "This was clearly an horrific ordeal for the victim who has understandably been left incredibly shaken and distressed.
"We are now carrying out extensive enquiries into this matter which we are treating extremely seriously and I urge anyone who was in the area between 7pm and 8pm last night and saw anything suspicious or out of the ordinary, or has any information they believe may help with the investigation, to contact us as soon as possible".
