POLICE have closed one lane of the A1 in Gateshead following a bleach leak from a lorrry.
Just before 2pm today police received reports that a quantity of bleach had leaked out of a lorry on the A1 in Gateshead.
The police and fire service attended and two lanes were closed north bound between Coalhouse roundabout and the Metrocentre for cleansing.
One lane is now reopened but the other remains closed at the present time.
