Cyclist injured in collision with lorry
A CYCLIST was taken to hospital with multiple fractures and cuts to his back after colliding with a lorry in Northumberland today.
The 38-year-old man is being treated in Newcastle General for his injuries, which are described as not life threatening.
The accident happened at 7.40am on the C257 road at Rudchester near Hexham, which was closed until 10am.
The 40-year-old driver of the lorry was not hurt. Northumbria Police have asked any witnesses to contact motor patrols in Hexham on 03456 043043.
