Two arrested after Durham Police car rammed

TWO youngsters have been arrested after driving into a police car in County Durham.
Police spotted what was believed to be a stolen red Vauxhall Cavalier on the A689 at Rushyford this morning.
Officers repeatedly tried to stop the car, thought to have veen stolen in Nottingham, and it was finally brought to a halt in Spennymoor.
The driver then attempted to drive off and collided with a police car and a blue Citroen C3.
The Citroen driver, a local woman in her 30s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and a policeman suffered a laceration to his arm and a suspected broken finger.
Two youths are being questioned on suspicion of stealing a vehicle and dangerous driving.
After police first signalled for the Cavalier to stop it was driven through Woodham, then Newton Aycliffe, and eventually stopped at the gasworks roundabout in Spennymoor.
