Woman found dead in South Shields
Police are investigating the death of a woman in South Shields today.
Officers attended an address in the town’s Richardson Avenue shortly before 4.40pm and the 39-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Northumbria Police spokesman tonight said enquiries were at an early stage and they were keeping an open mind as to the circumstances surrounding the death.
