Spate of attacks on South Tyneside cars

An appeal has been made for witnesses after a spate of attacks on parked cars on South Tyneside.
Six cars parked in Carter Avenue, Toner Avenue and Rede Avenue in Hebburn and Calf Close Lane in Jarrow had windows broken some time between 2pm and 10pm on Tuesday.
Police said a number of youths on bicycles were seen in the area at the time and anyone with information is asked to contact South Shields CID on 03456 043043 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
