TWO girls who overdosed on a cocktail of drugs in Northumberland yesterday improved significantly in hospital overnight, police said.
The girls, one of whom is aged 15, were found on the outskirts of Blyth at around 9pm and taken to Wansbeck District Hospital.
Their condition was initially said to be serious but a spokesman for Northumbria Police said they had made a "significant improvement".
It is thought they will be released from hospital later today.
Three local men were arrested in connection with the incident.
