Seven more arrested over Berwick drugs raid

MORE arrests have been made following a drugs raid in Berwick on Wednesday. 

Four men and two women were arrested this morning in Berwick and one man was arrested at Ayton in the Scottish Borders.

Nine people were arrested and charged with drugs offences on Wednesday following a series of dawn raids across the Northumberland town.

Around 80 officers from across the Northumbria Police area raided five addresses in Berwick in Operation Blowtorch, a pre-planned exercise to tackle the supply of heroin in the area.
