Snake on the loose in Byker

A HUGE boa constrictor snake is loose on the streets of Newcastle after it escaped from a family home.
Police today said Shakira, a 5ft long Columbian rainbow boa constrictor, escaped on Sunday from St Anthony’s House, Byker, Newcastle.
The snake is not believed to be a danger to the public, but people are advised not to approach it and ring the police or RSPCA.
