BLAYDON’S battling qualities will be put to the test today when they try to banish the memories of last week’s defeat by the champions which toppled them off their early-season perch at the head of the table.

While Graeme Bridge remains sidelined by injury there is some good news for Blaydon with the return of seamer Craig Simpson after seven weeks out with an ankle problem.
