Somerset v Durham weather update
SOME short, sharp showers delayed the start of Durham's County Championship clash at Somerset.
There was little sign of what was to come when the captains tossed up, Marcus Trescothick deciding to bat first. But shortly after an almighty downpour caught the groundstaff cold.
Sunny skies and a brisk wind should at least help the drying-up operation and after abandoning the morning sessions, umpires Richard Illingworth and Jeremy Lloyds are hoping to resume after an early lunch at 1.10pm. If they succeed, there will be 80 overs left in the day.
