Main chance to shine

White collar boxing is proving so popular in the North East that the European Boxing Federation are to stage another show at the Stormont Main Social Club in Wrekenton on July 12.

Topping the bill will be former local professional Gary McCrory against Micky Germain.

Favourites Gary Firby and Paul McGreevy also feature along with newcomers Craig Nicholson, Steve Buxton, Leon Campbell and the O'Hagan brothers Paul and Kevin.

Most of the fighters train at the Felling Warriors gym.

Promoter Steve Wraith told me: "The idea has caught on up here and we regularly play to full houses now."

Tickets cost £50 ringside and £30 outer ring and are available by phoning the hotline 07950 608 334.
