THE North Tyneside Closed Tournament finals wil be held at Forest Hall Tennis Club on Sunday, September 2 (9.00-6.00).
Home favourite Simon Morrison has made it through to both the boys’ 18s and 16s deciders, while Cullercoats counterpart Lauren Jones has achieved the same feat in the girls section.
Jones will meet clubmate Beth Dixon in the final of the 16s, while Morrison still awaits the victor of the 16s semi-final between Nick Boyd and Jack Thomson.
In the seniors, James Young will face Stuart Cass in the lower semi while a decider against Neil Carmichael awaits the winner of the clash between Tyrone Mpofu and William Wilson.
In the ladies seniors, Sarah Scrafton qualified for the final, beating Cullercoats’ Beth Dixon in straight sets.
She will take on the winner of the game between Lauren Jones and Paula Yarrow.
The senior men’s doubles sees Boddy and Carmichael meet Thompson and Milne while Mpofu and Cass face Wilson and Young in the other semi.
The ladies doubles final will see Lauren Jones and Sarah Scrafton up against Beth Dixon and Paula Yarrow.
Forest Hall’s Emily Rutherford plays Ellen Green in one last-four of the girls 12s for the chance to tackle Abigail Lemberger or Eve Morrison in the final.
In the 14s there could be an all-Beverly Park final if Beth Mills beats Hayley Williams to face already qualified clubmate Lucy Cartner.
