Whitley Warriors win the ENL League North championship

WHITLEY Warriors celebrated winning the ENL League North championship in style last night.

A long-range drive from Dale Howey got them on the board.

Adam Hendry and Daniel Murdy added further goals before the first break.

Murdy grabbed his second at 29.27 and the only other goal of the middle session came when Shaun Kippin skated away to net in the 37th minute.

In the final period Whitley doubled their lead. Ritchie Thornton opened the floodgates with a rare goal inside two minutes, before Callum Watson skated in to backhand the puck home at 44.08.

Adam Reynolds, Simon Leach and Karl Culley also scored before the trophy presentation and celebrations.
