Hundreds backing the Vipers

VIPERS season ticket sales have reached three figures within three days of going on sale.

The Newcastle-based Elite League club were anxious as to whether they would reach their target of 500 after having to play an unusually large number of games at their second home, in Whitley Bay.

But they have been delighted with the response – even receiving an application from a fan in Qatar who only expects to make two or three games but wanted to show support.

"The response has been fantastic and nearly all the sales have been for the full 24-game package for games at the Metro Radio Arena and Whitley Bay Ice Rink," said general manager Jaimie Longmuir.

"I think that just shows what a brilliant fan-base we have."

The Vipers have re-signed Mark Gouett, David Longstaff, Dean Holland and Ben Campbell.
