WARRIORS must win in Nottingham next Sunday to make the English National League finals weekend after the sides proved inseparable at Hillheads last night.

Lions skipper Chris Colgate opened the scoring on nine minutes, but Whitley struck back to score twice in 65 seconds via Nathan Taylor and Bryan Dunn.

However, Robert Lachowicz equalised inside the last minute of the period.

Warriors were quick out of the traps in the last period, Andrew Tindale scoring after just six seconds. Daniel Murdy made it 4-2 at 45.19 but Lachowicz and Joe Graham – son of former Whitley keeper David Graham - made it 4-4.
