THE Warriors were made to work hard by Kingston last night and it was the Humberside outfit who shocked the Hillheads crowd by taking the lead when Patrik Zgibor netted at 6.35.
Kristian Lloyd fired Whitley level and they were in front at 10.16 courtesy of a Mark Good goal. When the home side failed to clear their defensive zone, Mark Florence levelled early in the second session.
Lloyd once again put Whitley ahead at 26.08, but with two home players serving penalties, Ben Millhench rocketed home an equaliser at 36.40.
Florence set up Dan Sayer for the visitors’ fourth goal just 68 seconds into the final period. Within a couple of minutes, Nathan Taylor put the Warriors level and Bryan Dunn secured the win for the home side in the 49th minute.
On Saturday night, Whitley went down 4-2 at Sheffield Scimitars. Mark Turner scored for the home side before Ryan Sample hit back, then Whitley went ahead via Bryan Dunn. But Scimitars took the win thanks to Aaron Strawson, Matt Hayward and Chris Turner.
