Whitley Warriors last night inked in two more names for their 2007/08 season roster when the signings of Andrew Tindale and Ryan Sample were announced by Andrew Carter.
And the new coach - who shares the role vacated by Simon Leach with Karl Culley - also hinted that the Hillheads side were looking to bring in at least a couple of new faces before the campaign got under way.
"Both Ryan and Andrew bring good qualities to the Warriors," said Carter.
"Karl and I both believe Ryan matured as a player last season and proved he has an eye for goal, with some important strikes for us."
Perhaps his most important goal was the one that clinched the Northern League play-off title for Whitley in April, and Carter felt that showed perfectly what the tall winger is capable of.
Carter is equally happy to see Andrew Tindale back in the Warriors line-up, a player he rates as one of the most consistent in the league.
"Maybe Andrew doesn't grab the headlines in the way other players do, but his importance to the team can not be under-estimated," continued Carter.
"His attitude is 100% spot on, his work-rate is unbelievable and he gets on with the job in hand every time he goes out on the ice.
"Both Karl and I were fortunate enough to play alongside Andrew for most of last season, and we are both very appreciative of the job he does - he certainly made life a lot easier for us."
Although plenty more of last season's squad will be signed up in the coming weeks, Carter also confirmed that the Warriors were looking to bring new faces into the dressing room before the action gets under way.
