Five to follow

Although CONFUCHIAS hasn’t managed to win a race since arriving from Ireland, he gives the impression his turn will come. He deserves a lot of credit for finishing fifth overall and leading the smaller stands’ side group home in the Great St Wilfrid at Ripon. He loves to get his toe in.

DEADLY SECRET ran a splendid race in defeat at Ripon. He was six lengths clear of the third and that bodes well for the future.

Soft ground didn’t inconvenience WARRIOR ONE who beat two previous winners at Hamilton after showing promise on his Newcastle debut. Stepping up in trip, he showed he stays well and there should be more to come.

A maiden event should be there for the taking for MUSTAQER on the evidence of his Newbury second to the more experienced Cry of Freedom. He was no match for the winner but can get off the mark before coming into his own over middle distances next year.

Having had the misfortune to come up against a progressive filly in La Sarrazine at Ripon, FEISTY ROYALE remains on a fair mark and should soon be going one better and adding to her two juvenile wins.
