The George Washington Golf and Country Club hosts its first Ladies Open and Fashion Show this month and will have a report appearing in the November issue of Golf North East. The event, which takes place on Monday, September 29th, marks a new beginning for the Tyne and Wear golf club.
The Washington-based club has recently opened a brand new £3 million golf clubhouse and is aiming to attract female golfers to the new state-of the-art facility.
The better ball Stableford competition commences at 11.45am with a two-tee start, and costs £12 per pair inclusive of entry to the fashion show.
Ping Collection and Glenmuir are showcasing their latest apparel with a final clothing range to be confirmed. Tickets for the fashion show are £2 per person and the event starts at 7pm in the golf clubhouse.
Graeme Robinson, Head Professional and Golf Operations Manager commented: "The ladies open and fashion show is a great way to end a fantastic season at the club. It's an excellent opportunity for lady golfers to come along and see the changes we've made and see the latest apparel ranges from top brands."
