Wynyard Put The Accent On Design
TWO new designer labels at Wynyard Golf Club are proving such a hit that sales have been taken within hours of first being launched. The latest range of PING® golf equipment including the new G15 and i15 series of clubs, irons and drivers, as well as a new range of golf bags and accessories, are now in stock at Wynyard pro shop.
Also, new Oscar Jacobson designer golf clothing including classic polo shirts, pure wool jumpers, trousers and WPS (weather protective system) 'technical' garments are available in all sizes or to order.
Wynyard pro Andrew Betts said: "These brands are proving very popular with our members as well as golfers from other clubs who have come to Wynyard to buy the latest designer labels. With Christmas just around the corner, they could be the perfect gift for style-conscious golfers and we have already received several calls from partners or family members wanting to arrange gift vouchers for this purpose."
The PING® G15 series is aimed at players who rely on easier-to-hit, maximum forgiveness clubs that provide higher launch angles, improved accuracy and greater consistency.
The i15 series is designed for more skilled golfers who prefer to work the ball with greater control and precision, and all can be fitted to a player's specific requirements.

Celebrity Success
THE celebrities were out in force at the third Ramside Hotel Celebrity Charity Golf Day and gala dinner in aid of the Mencap charity. Stars like champion jockey Bob Champion MBE, Willie Thorne (snooker and Strictly Come Dancing star), Frank Worthington (legendary England soccer striker), TV comedian Stan Boardman and former Coronation Street actor Bruce Jones (who played Les Battersby), were just some of the well known faces taking part in the charity day.
The event got underway with a high noon shotgun start at Ramside, the celebrities mixing in with the teams that took part in the day - the 40 teams being made up of three amateur players plus one celebrity.
Later in the evening many of the stars took to the stage for the high profile gala dinner and prize giving ceremony.
The auction was hosted by snooker star Willie Thorne and items on offer included signed memorabilia from England footballers David Beckham and Steven Gerrard, who happily gave their support to the day.
John Adamson, owner of Ramside Hall, said: "It was a truly memorable day and we are so grateful for the fantastic support from both the celebrities and the teams who took part in the competition.
"The amateur players love mixing with the celebs and ultimately a substantial amount of money will be raised for a great cause - so everybody wins.
"The evening's gala dinner was terrific; former England star Duncan McKenzie compered three hours of top drawer entertainment, for which all the acts received a five minute standing ovation at the show's finale. It was truly unforgettable."
