Juniors get chance to learn

IF you know a youngster who has never played golf, point his or her parents in the direction of the free Rock Junior Golf Festival at Matfen Hall during the school summer holidays.
Spaces are limited for the festival, so parents are urged to sign up their children for the event, on Sunday August 23. One of the world’s largest junior golf festivals, it also caters for youngsters who already have golf experience.
The success story is returning for its eighth year and is open to all children between the ages of five and 15.
Former European Tour winner Paul Eales, from Instinctive Golf Coaching, is running three golf clinics on the day, 10.30-noon, 12.30-2.00 and 2.30-4.00.
Instinctive Golf will provide the opportunity for youngsters to learn and/or develop their golf skills via a unique coaching programme, which centres around the belief they should ‘play to learn’.
