Chance to join fun at Slaley

WHAT a perfect way for any golfer to spend a Bank Holiday . . .

Check in at the Slaley Hall International Golf Resort and Spa, set among 1,000 acres of Northumberland moorland.

Spend Sunday August 24 playing the Priestman Course and then watching the climax to the De Vere Collection PGA Seniors Championship, an event which features winning Ryder Cup captains Ian Woosnam and Sam Torrance plus former Open Champion Sir Bob Charles.

Freshen up in your room before enjoying the rest of your luxury stop-over, including dinner, bed and breakfast.

Then, on the Bank Holiday Monday of August 25, you are guaranteed a tee-off spot in the De Vere Collection Amateur Open, which will be played on Slaley Hall's other championship course, The Hunting Course.

The Hunting will still be in prime condition, having been used by Woosie, Sam , Sir Bob and the rest of the star turns in the PGA Seniors on Sunday.

The Sunday/Monday play, stay, eat and play again package costs £129, including entry to the amateur tournament.

To take up that option, ring central reservations at Slaley Hall on (08706) 063606.

If you simply want to play in the De Vere Collection Amateur Open on the Bank Holiday Monday, it costs £99 for a two-ball, including lunch and prizes.

To make your reservation for Monday golf and lunch, or for further information, ring (01434) 676515.

Daily admission prices for the four-day PGA Seniors Championship, which starts on Thursday August 21, are £10 and four-day tickets are £20.

You can pay at the gate, car parking is free and under-16s get in for free.
