WHAT a great issue of Golf North East we have for you this month.
First and foremost, we have the launch of the second annual Golf North East Junior Champion of Champions trophy.
Our junior champions event is a real first for the region and you can read all about it inside this month's issue.
Congratulations to our star columnist Graeme Storm, whose wife Sara has just given birth to their first child.
Graeme has been writing an exclusive column for Golf North East for over two and a half years now and as we went to press this month was preparing to defend his French Open title in Paris.
In this issue, Graeme describes his recent tournament form and outlines his thoughts at the birth of baby Grace.
As ever this edition is packed with great local stories, news and results that showcase all the tremendous things that are happening in our region.
We report on Sir Bobby Robson’s charity golf day at Matfen Hall and also have news of the latest Wee Wonders qualifying rounds in the North East.
We have a story on the Northumberland Ladies county championship and also feature a piece on the Teesside Union’s new team manager.
There’s news on new courses at Bishop Auckland and Yarm while Wynyard has new owners.
As always, we also feature another two of the area’s outstanding courses - this time visiting George Washington on Wearside and Mount Oswald in Durham City.
We take a trip to Scotland’s Kingdom of Fife to look at the First In Fife Golfpass while we also head way south to look at a new destination in Spain.
And we have more top tips from Mike Pilgrim of Ingleby Barwick Golf Academy.
It all adds up to another cracking edition. So, happy reading.
