All Go At Romanby

Things are buzzing at Romanby Golf and Country Club in North Yorkshire. The club, based just outside the market town of Northallerton, is bucking the trend of economic gloom gripping the country by opening a new brasserie in the clubhouse - while corporate days continue to be a huge success.

The brasserie, which features the culinary delights of head chef Adrian Craig, is proving a big hit with members and locals alike.

Adrian, who has a vast knowledge of food preparation having won five consecutive AA rosettes, said: "Customers feel the buzz about the brasserie and the way that the food is being served. Our aim is to make sure that every ingredient has been researched and checked to make sure that it is right for our customers.

"We utilise local suppliers such as our butchers. Thompson's of Northallerton. This gives us the opportunity to serve local meats sourced within a five-mile radius of Northallerton. The care and attention to detail we put into the preparation and delivery of our food is paramount in serving an enticing and beautiful dish."

Adrian is ably supported by 16-year-old Mitchell Marston, who is also attending Darlington College to hone his cooking skills.
